THE ONE AND ONLY

It was a warm and sunny Mother’s day of 2017 when we got a call about a house in the countryside that was up for rent. Renting wasn’t an option for us but as the conversation went on about our search for a lonely house in the rural area, the people we were talking to took us to the “Leicieši” house.

Completely abandoned for 7 years, without any future and without a road. Instead there was only a tangle of nettles, blackberries and wild roses around it. There it was-the “Leiceiši” house.

For Jānis it was love at first sight. And yes-such love exists. I didn’t feel the same way at first but I trusted in Jānis. I also wasn’t very demanding nor did I have my dream house planned out. I just went with the flow and I don’t regret it for one second.

Only a few would see the potential that was hiding beneath dilapidated buildings and overgrown fields, but for us the direction was clear. Together we came up with a way to combine our knowledge, experience and skills to create another rural area that would be efficient and viable. One month later, thanks to our determination and the feeling that this was the one, we finally became the owners of the “Leiceiši” house.

It’s 2021 and we are already a team of five. Every day we realize more and more that we are in the right place and time. This road has been full of challenges and a lot of them are still ahead but the results we see today let us know that it’s all worth it. We’re working sincerely and wholeheartedly because we are here and now. In our “Leiceiši”
